Dickinson Convention & Visitors Bureau The Dickinson Convention & Visitors Bureau is an economic and community development non-profit organization, whose purpose is to expand the city’s economy by attracting conventions and tourist visitors. The Dickinson CVB’s Mission Statement is to: "Promote Events and Activities that will Attract Visitors to Dickinson and Stimulate the Economy." Many times people think of the CVB as primarily a tourist and meetings organization only, and while that is a primary function, it is far from just that. The Dickinson CVB is involved in many diverse organizations in a variety of ways, some of which are seen visually, and others by working behind the scenes to promote, create and assist them in some way that result in not only additional lodging and hospitality tax dollars, but also by creating a growing environment for Dickinson, southwestern North Dakota and the State in terms of the visitor industry.
